What is tallow and why do I use it?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Tallow, or grass-fed beef fat, is a fat rich in skin-specific lipids. It supports the skin's protective barrier and helps reduce itchy dryness. I make the products by hand in small batches.<\/p>\n

No - tallow is an animal ingredient. In packaging, I choose recyclable solutions to keep my footprint low.<\/p>\n

Are the products suitable for sensitive skin?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

My aim is for the products to be gentle even on sensitive skin - I keep the formulation short and clear. I recommend doing it before daily use small 24 h skin sample<\/strong> (e.g. on the inside of the forearm). If you are sensitive to smells, give it a go odorless<\/strong> option. If something doesn't fit, write to me - we'll find a better solution together.<\/p>\n

Tallow is neutral to mild in nature. If the batch is scented, it is clearly stated in the composition. I also offer unscented options.<\/p>\n

Yes, but start gently: lather in palm, apply briefly and rinse thoroughly. After washing, use tallow butter if necessary.<\/p>\n

Can you wash your hair with soap?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Maybe. Switching to sulfate-free care can be short <\/b>transitional period<\/b><\/a>. If you are just starting to wash your hair with soap, do it do acid rinse<\/strong> (1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in 0.5 liters of water) and dry the hair thoroughly.<\/p>\n

Why does my hair feel heavy\/dull after using soap?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Use less product, rinse longer and do a vinegar solution rinse in between. If you are just starting to wash your hair with natural soap, may\u00a0transitional period<\/a>\u00a0last 2 - 8 washes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For boosting dry body and face skin. Apply a small amount<\/strong> for damp or dry skin, tallow is concentrated.<\/p>\n

In the right amount, it is absorbed as a thin protective layer. Too shiny? You probably used too much, always start over with less<\/strong> and add if necessary.<\/p>\n

Does Galloway need\/contain a preservative?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Although Galloway is dehydrated, I add a small amount of Biogard 221<\/strong> (INCI:\u00a0Benzyl alcohol<\/a>, Dehydroacetic Acid) so that the product is safe even if moisture gets into the can during the shower. I keep the quantities low and the composition clear. The exact INCI is on the label and product page.<\/p>\n
