HIGHLAND is a natural handmade soap, made from beef fat and enriched with essential oil of Siberian pine. The soap is suitable for daily use on both body and hair and is intended for all skin types from the age of 5. When washing your hair, you may experience a transition period, which you can read more about from the blog post.
It is used in soap making cold method and it is post-aged for at least 4 weeks to preserve its natural moisturizing properties. The fat is melted at a low temperature, preserving valuable compounds: omega-3 fatty acids, oleic acid and vitamins A, D, E and K, which support skin and hair health.
Benefits of Ingredients:
Tallow Rich in vitamins A, D, E and K, which nourish and help protect the skin and strengthen the hair roots. Tallow helps improve skin elasticity and retain moisture, making it an ideal ingredient for dry or sensitive skin.
Castor oil Rich in ricinoleic acid, which has moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties. Castor oil helps to soothe irritated skin, support hair follicles and reduce redness and inflammation of the scalp.
Siberian pine essential oil (Abies sibirica)
The main component of Siberian fir oil is bornyl acetate; of fir oils and bornyl acetate have been shown antimicrobial/antioxidant activity in vitro and in inhalation studies is described relaxing response of the autonomic nervous system (markers of calmness and reduced tension). In soap, it gives a "forest fresh", balsamic note and a grounding shower experience.
Typical allergens: Limonene, Linalool.

FAQ
Is Highland suitable for both body and hair?
Yes. Highland is an "all in one" soap, it is suitable for body and hair. Avoid the eye area.
How to use on hair for best results?
Moisten the hair, lather with soap directly on the scalp, massage, rinse very thoroughly. Finish it do acid rinse (1-2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in 500 ml of water) to smooth the hair surface and reduce resistance.
How long is the transition period when switching from sulfate-free products?
On average 2 - 8 washes. Hard water, hair product residue or very thick hair may take longer. An acid rinse helps.
How does soap behave in hard water?
Can foam less and leave more residue. Rinse longer, repeat washing if necessary and use apple cider vinegar water for rinsing (see above).
Is Highland suitable for shaving?
Yes. The silky foam provides good slipperiness for both body shaving and beard. Rinse after shaving and use as needed Galloway body butter.
What characterizes the aroma of Siberian pine? Is it phototoxic?
The aroma is forest fresh and balsamic. Siberian fir essential oil is not phototoxic. Typical allergens: Limonene, Linalool.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin / children / during pregnancy?
Soap is rinse-off, but always do on scent-sensitive or very delicate skin skintches. For the children 5 years and under, prefer the unscented version. During pregnancy, use products with essential oils in moderation.
How to store soap and make it last longer?
Use soap dish with grate, let the piece dry between uses and avoid standing in a puddle. This way, the soap will last significantly longer.
