CHAROLAIS is an unscented beef tallow soap for those who want a product with the simplest possible ingredients. No essential oils, added fragrances, or colors—just a well-made, handcrafted soap for everyday use.
The name "Charolais" suits this soap particularly well; the breed’s characteristic pale, creamy-white appearance mirrors the soap’s own clean and serene nature. I handcraft Charolais soap in Estonia in small batches. It is made using the cold-process method and allowed to cure undisturbed for at least four weeks before packaging.
Why choose unscented beef tallow soap?
Sometimes, having as few ingredients as possible in a product is the best option. CHAROLAIS contains no essential oils or fragrances. Therefore, it is a good choice for someone who
- prefers fragrance-free skin care products;
- wants the simplest possible composition;
- wants one soap for multiple purposes;
- appreciates a product handmade in Estonia.
The soap may have a very faint, natural scent characteristic of beef tallow, but no separate fragrance has been added.
What makes this soap different?
Beef tallow gives the soap firmness, a long lifespan, and a pleasant, creamy feel during use.
Castor oil contributes to the formation of a richer and softer foam.
Natural glycerin It is formed during the saponification process and remains in the handmade soap. It contributes to that pleasant feel that makes me love beef tallow soaps so much. A simple composition, yet every ingredient has its own purpose.
One soap, multiple possibilities
CHAROLAIS doesn't have to stay in the shower as just a body soap. You can use it:

CHAROLAIS for washing hair
If you are used to liquid shampoo, washing your hair with soap might feel different at first. During the transition period, your hair may feel heavier, frizzier, or simply different from what you are accustomed to.
This doesn’t necessarily mean the soap isn’t right for you—hair and water characteristics, previous hair care products, and your washing routine all significantly influence the result.

If you wish, you can try an acidic rinse after washing:
1–2 tsp apple cider vinegar + 0.5 l cool water.
Pour the mixture over your hair as a final rinse.
How to use CHAROLAIS beef tallow soap?
Wet your skin, hair, or beard. Lather the soap between your hands or rub it gently against the area to be washed, then massage the resulting lather onto your skin or hair. Rinse thoroughly with water.
After use, leave the soap onto the soap dish to dry in such a way that the water can drain away freely.
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water.
