NORMANDE – beef tallow soap with tea tree essential oil
Clean, herbal, and with a bit of character.
NORMANDE beef tallow soap with tea tree essential oil is for those who want a handcrafted soap with simple ingredients but prefer a slightly fresher, more herbal washing experience over an unscented version.
Like other Tallowmar products, NORMANDE is also named after a breed of cattle. The name suits the soap’s character particularly well here – a calm base to which tea tree adds its distinct, recognizable personality.
What makes NORMANDE beef tallow soap special?
For this soap, it is important to me that the composition remains simple and that every ingredient has a specific purpose.
Beef tallow gives the soap firmness, a long lifespan, and a pleasant, creamy feel during use.
Castor oil contributes to the formation of a softer and richer foam.
Natural glycerin It is formed during the saponification process and remains in the handmade soap. It contributes to that pleasant feel that makes me personally like beef tallow soaps so much.
Tea tree essential oil gives the soap a fresh, herbal, and clean scent profile.
Nothing superfluous – simply a well-made soap.
Why choose NORMANDE beef tallow soap with tea tree oil?
NORMANDE is suitable for use:
✔ for washing the body
✔ for washing hands
✔ for washing hair
✔ for washing the beard
✔ for shaving
That’s why it’s convenient to take along to the gym, the sauna, or on a trip—you can get quite a few things done with just one soap.
NORMANDE for washing hair
Tallowmar soaps are also suitable for washing hair, but if you are used to ordinary liquid shampoo, the result may feel different at first.
During the first few uses, your hair may feel heavier, frizzier, or "squeakier." Results are influenced by factors such as hair type, water hardness, and previously used hair care products.
I have written more about the transition period of washing hair with soap in a blog post. "Confused about which soap to choose?"
If you wish, you can use an acidic rinse after washing:
1–2 tsp apple cider vinegar + 0.5 l cool water.
Pour the mixture over your hair as a final rinse.
How to use NORMANDE beef tallow soap?
Wet your skin, hair, or beard. Lather the soap between your hands or directly on the area to be washed, and massage the resulting foam into your skin or hair. Rinse thoroughly.
Leave the soap to dry after use onto the soap dish, where the water can drain away freely. This way, the handmade soap lasts longer.
Who is NORMANDE suitable for?

- wants a single soap for both body and hair;
- prefers a simple composition;

When using this soap, it is not necessary to use a body cream, because the soap leaves the skin sufficiently moisturized.
