What is tallow and why do I use it?
Tallow, or grass-fed beef fat, is a fat rich in skin-specific lipids. It supports the skin's protective barrier and helps reduce itchy dryness. I make the products by hand in small batches.
Are Tallowmar products vegan?
No - tallow is an animal ingredient. In packaging, I choose recyclable solutions to keep my footprint low.
Are the products suitable for sensitive skin?
My aim is for the products to be gentle even on sensitive skin - I keep the formulation short and clear. I recommend doing it before daily use small 24 h skin sample (e.g. on the inside of the forearm). If you are sensitive to smells, give it a go odorless option. If something doesn't fit, write to me - we'll find a better solution together.
Do the products have a smell?
Tallow is neutral to mild in nature. If the batch is scented, it is clearly stated in the composition. I also offer unscented options.
Are the products animal-free?
I do not test my products on animals, nor do I order such tests from third parties.
Soaps (Charolais, Normande, Highland)
Are Tallowmar soaps suitable for the face?
Yes, but start gently: lather in palm, apply briefly and rinse thoroughly. After washing, use tallow butter if necessary.
Can you wash your hair with soap?
Maybe. Switching to sulfate-free care can be short transitional period. If you are just starting to wash your hair with soap, do it do acid rinse (1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in 0.5 liters of water) and dry the hair thoroughly.
Why does my hair feel heavy/dull after using soap?
Use less product, rinse longer and do a vinegar solution rinse in between. If you are just starting to wash your hair with natural soap, may transitional period last 2 - 8 washes.
How to store soap to make it last?
Allow to air dry (not in a puddle). Use a permeable soap dish.
Body butter Galloway
For what with Galloway suitable?
For boosting dry body and face skin. Apply a small amount for damp or dry skin, tallow is concentrated.
Does it leave a greasy feeling?
In the right amount, it is absorbed as a thin protective layer. Too shiny? You probably used too much, always start over with less and add if necessary.
Does Galloway need/contain a preservative?
Although Galloway is dehydrated, I add a small amount of Biogard 221 (INCI: Benzyl alcohol, Dehydroacetic Acid) so that the product is safe even if moisture gets into the can during the shower. I keep the quantities low and the composition clear. The exact INCI is on the label and product page.
Can it be used in pregnancy/children?
The composition is simple, but in case of sensitive or special skin, consult a specialist and make 24 h skin test (e.g. on the inside of the forearm).
How to store and how long to use?
Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. The butter may soften when warm - this is normal. Shelf life 1 year, see on the jar.
Exfoliator Red Poll
How to use Red Polli ?
Apply to clean, damp skin, massage gently and rinse. On the body 1–2× a week; on the face less often (e.g. 1× 7–10 days, very gently). Do not rub with the towel, just pat the skin dry.
Do sugar and honey make the skin too "bare"?
A light exfoliating effect smoothes the surface; tallow leaves a delicate protective layer. Avoid heavy pressure and broken/irritated skin.
How to keep the jar?
Keep the lid closed, avoid water getting into the jar and use a clean spatula.
Does Red Poll need/contain a preservative?
Yes. Red Poll has Biogard 221 in it (INCI: Benzyl alcohol, Dehydroacetic Acid), mis aitab hoida microbiological safety, if water gets into the jar (this is common when used in the shower). Please use a clean spatula and close the lid immediately after use. The exact INCI is on the product page and label.
How long does the product last?
Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Shelf life 6 months, see on the jar.

I will send to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland and Sweden. I'm sending the package within 24 hours (working days).
Approximate delivery time: EE 1-3 business days, LV/LT 2-5 business days, FI/SE 3-7 working days (depending on service provider, location and holidays).

Can I change/return my order?
Yes. Write to me as soon as possible. You have 14 days time to withdraw from the contract; the product to be returned must be unused and in original packaging.
Note: for health and hygiene reasons the right of withdrawal does not extend to opened cosmetic products, if it is no longer possible to resell them safely. Read more sales and return conditions.
