Where TALLOWMAR started

Hey! I'm Maris. I always have too many ideas going through my head at once. And when one of them finally gets a foothold, something like TALLOWMAR is born.

Entrepreneurship? Honestly, I had no idea what it was all about. But curiosity and a practical mind led me there. Not because I dreamed of a label with my logo, but simply because there was nothing on the store shelves that actually worked for my skin.

Why beef tallow?

We live in Estonia, where there is wind, cold, dry air and the skin is not grateful. When I started experimenting myself, and after lots of experimenting, some mixing, melting, and let's be honest, some soaping, I came up with something that actually worked: grass-fed tallow. Yes, the same one that used to be in grandma's bathroom before we all disappeared into shampoo bottles. Sound a little weird? Maybe. But nature knows what it's doing, we just forgot to listen in the meantime.

TALLOWMAR was born out of this need, for himself and his family. And then I thought that maybe there are others who are looking for something like this. Something that is simple and really works. This is how handmade soaps and body butters were born, without any hidden ingredients

Through it all, I have had tremendous support from my partner, daughters and friends. A special thanks also goes to Melissa, who wrapped my ideas in a beautiful design. It hasn't been a lone wolf project, but collaboration, learning, breathing together, and sometimes the sound of a slightly irritated mixer in the bathroom.

TALLOWMAR does not want to be just "another skin care brand". I want it to be an experience and a feeling that what you're using is really made with you in mind.
