I'm preparing GALLOWAY body butter from purified beef tallow, I add vitamin E for antioxidant support and Biogard 221 to ensure preservation. Tallow is biologically compatible with the skin, it melts on the skin, absorbs well and supports the skin's natural protective barrier.
Vitamins & fatty acids (why beef tallow is good for the skin)
Beef tallow naturally contains vitamins important for the skin:

Natural fatty acids that make the skin pleasantly soft:

GALLOWAY is unscented, it has a soft and neutral aroma characteristic of beef tallow.
Usage
NB! Body butter is harder when cold. You will get the best result if you take the body butter with a spatula, let it warm up in the palm of your hand and apply it to damp skin.
Take a small amount with a clean spatula, warm between your fingers and apply to damp skin. Massage until absorbed. Suitable for daily use on the body, hands and face.
Try together with beef tallow body soap, to create a true skincare experience.
What is Biogard 221?
Biogard 221 is a small but important protection in your ointment. It is a mixture of two ingredients: dehydroacetic acid (keeps microbes under control) and benzyl alcohol (also occurs naturally in the aromas of many plants).
There is very little of it in the body buter - just enough to keep the product fresh and safe, without changing the smell or feel of the skin.
Why am I adding this to Galloway?
Although GALLOWAY is water-free, in real life some moisture gets into the jar (wet hands, bathroom, baby care).
Biogard 221 provides additional security - it helps prevent the growth of microbes when moisture gets into the jar.
For sensitive skin: always do a small test on the forearm. For external use only.

We have been using it for about a week, and the cream really helps relieve itching. The child no longer scratches the mollusc bumps, the skin can start to heal. We have tried many different creams but this is the only one besides the hormone cream that works.
Since it is a natural cream, a specific smell can be felt a little. It must also be taken into account that the application of the cream is slightly different than in the case of creams made from vegetable fat. At the same time, the cream is used quite a bit compared to creams made on the basis of vegetable fat.
I definitely want to try the soaps 😊

Both in terms of smell and consistency, your observations are very accurate - using natural beef fat butter is a little different, and that's why it is used significantly less.

The product was very hard and when rubbed between the hands it became lumpy and it was difficult to spread on the skin :/

I'm sorry that the user experience was like that. Tallow-butter can harden in the cold and become lumpy when rubbed between dry hands. It usually helps to take the butter with a spatula (or the tip of your fingernail), let a small amount warm in the palm of your hand and apply to damp skin. Great product! Already using the second jar. I especially like to apply a little more product on the skin in the evening and the next day the skin is super soft 😊 In winter, the skin is drier and this butter is simply the best!
I also praise the natural soap to heaven! I will definitely try all the other products soon.
PS: I recommend ordering a spatula as well. Super convenient to take the butter from the jar.
